Milos Pavlovic

Founder and Principal Groundwater Modeller

Milos has more than 20 years of experience across a diverse range of groundwater modelling projects in Australia, Europe and Middle East. He has led and contributed to a variety of modelling projects for mining and resource companies, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Fortescue Metals Group, Anglo Gold Ashanti Australia, Iluka, MRL, Bardoc, Water Corp WA, Iron Ore Holdings, Brockman Resources, Bannerman Resources, Ferraus and others.

Milos is geared towards pragmatic approach to groundwater modelling using the latest USGS codes and GMDSI “guidelines” with special emphasis on stochastic modelling with PEST and addressing uncertainties related to the project. His area of expertise is quantifying the risk related to the project for his clients.

Besides iron ore mining Milos was also involved in palaeochannel investigations (water supply and dewatering) for gold mining projects such as:

  • Australian Potash Company – Lake Wells project.

Milos was also involved in government related projects such as Kemerton Wastewater Treatment Plant in the south west of WA and he was on the water panel with Water Corp WA in 2020.

Internationally Milos designed over 500 and oversaw ore than 200 construction dewatering projects throughout UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia Libya and Lebanon. Some of the more noteworthy projects are:

Milos was also involved in coal mine dewatering studies in Eastern Europe (Kolubara Coal Mine), Oyi Tolgoi gold mine in Mongolia, Unst Khudag Coal Mine in Mongolia, Khanbodg Basin Water Supply Study in Mongolia, Rossing uranium project in Namibia and others
